FLORIDA – Police arrested 44-year-old Nelson Gonzalez Monday after they say he attempted to steal $363 worth of clothing from a Victoria’s Secret store at a mall in Boca Raton.
Gonzalez faces charges of Felony Retail Theft.

OREGON – A man police say was intoxicated was arrested after they found him in his vehicle, seated in the front passenger seat, steering his car as his 10-year old son drove.
The incident happened on Sunday around 10:45 a.m. when police say they spotted a vehicle swerving and driving with the hazard ligh
ts activated on Klindt Drive in The Dalles. Officers say they spotted the front passenger steering the vehicle.
According to investigators, a 10-year-old boy was in the driver’s seat when they pulled the car over.
Police say they spotted an open container of alcohol at the passenger’s feet and several other empty containers in the back seat.
The passenger, 34-year-old Jose Israel Torres was arrested and faces charges of for DUII, Reckless Driving, and Recklessly Endangering Another Person.
Torres was also cited for several traffic violations including No Valid Operators License.
When Torres’ wife arrived to pick up their son, officers learned she was also without a valid driver’s license and cited her for the traffic violation.

FLORIDA – Police arrested a man suspected of drunk driving after they say he drove around their patrol cars and into an active police investigation.
The incident happened Wednesday night in the 1500 block of West Palmetto Park Road in Boca Raton.
Officers say units in marked patrol cars were investigating a crime at the location when 59-year-old Edward Ronan drove around their vehicles and into the middle of the scene.
Ronan faces charges of driving while intoxicated.

OREGON – An operation dubbed ‘Hong Kong Phooey’ resulted in the arrest of five people on various drug charges Friday.
Polk Co. Sheriff’s officers served the warrant in response to complaints of drug activity from a residence on Main Street in Dallas.
The alleged activity has taken place over the past few months.
Detectives say they seized methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana, prescription medication, drug use paraphernalia, packaging materials and scales from the residence.
$554 in cash was also found inside.
Arrested were 48-year-old Teresa Barlow, 49-year-old Ronald Eagon, 27-year-old Michael Bedwell, 53-year-old Michael Brodigan, and 50-year-old Tina Sears.
All face drug charges including unlawful possession of methamphetamine.

COLORADO – A man who flagged down police faces charges after officials say he tried to yank the officer from the car, damaged the vehicle’s hood, and challenged the officer to an arm wrestling match after he pulled over.
The incident happened Wednesday near the 3200 block of North Chestnut Street in Colorado Springs.
Police say 59-year-old Mark Smith flagged down the officer at around 12:30 p.m. When the officer pulled over, Smith allegedly opened the driver’s door and attempted to pull him out of the cruiser. Smith then began jumping on the hood of the cruiser causing damage.
After he was placed in handcuffs, Smith challenged officers to an arm wrestling match.
After struggling with officers and medics, Smith was transported to a local hospital where he will receive a psychological evaluation.
Smith faces charges of Criminal Mischief and Obstructing a Police Officer.

FLORIDA – A 13 year-old boy was arrested after police say he threatened to break out the windows of his mother’s car with a coconut.
The incident happened Friday night in Boca Raton.
The boy faces simple assault charges. Officers say he was also in violation of probation.

COLORADO – Police arrested a man they say refused to pay his bar tab then tried to flee the business by cutting through a plastic wall surround.
The incident happened Saturday around 10:43 p.m. at a bar on the 900 block of Pearl Street in Boulder.
Investigators say a patron refused to pay his $33.00 bill and tried to leave the restaurant by using his knife to cut a hole in a plastic wall surrounding an outdoor patio.
The 42-year-old suspect was arrested and faces charges of felony menacing, defrauding an innkeeper and criminal mischief.

OREGON – A man is lucky to be alive after an SUV crashed through the wall of his apartment, trapping him in his bed.
The incident happened Saturday morning around 1:22 a.m. at the apartment complex on the 12000 block of Barnes Road.
Officers say the 34-year-old female driver of the SUV fell asleep, left the road, and crashed into the ground floor apartment.
40-year-old John Glavin was asleep in bed when the SUV crashed through the apartment wall.
Glavin was transported to Emanuel Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor and the driver, Crystal Tomlin, was not arrested at the scene. The investigation is on-going.

FLORIDA – Police say a 29-year-old woman is accused of having an inappropriate sexual relationship with an underage boy she was tutoring.
Ethel Anderson faces charges of lewd or lascivious molestation after they say she engaged a twelve-year-old boy in oral sex and inappropriate touching while at her residence in Riverview.
The alleged incidents took place over a period beginning in December 2011 through February 2012 while Anderson was supposed to be tutoring the boy.
Anderson is a teacher at Mango Elementary, however, the victim is not one of her students.

COLORADO – Boulder police arrested a 21-year-old man they say trying to break into a car by kicking the door and windshield in.
The incident happened around 2:00 a.m. Thursday in the in the 800 block of Arapahoe.
Officers say the suspect left dents and a cracked windshield to the vehicle.
He faces criminal mischief, criminal attempt of first degree criminal trespass, and violation of a restraining order.
Alcohol is believed to be involved.
